Further to our previous update, engineers have now attended site and carried out a full inspection of the inward bollard. This involved lifting the entire bollard mechanism out of the ground to assess the extent of the damage.
Unfortunately, the inspection confirmed that the inward bollard has sustained significant damage and requires a full replacement. As a result, both bollards will remain down until the replacement unit arrives and can be installed.
The current lead time for the replacement is approximately 3 to 4 weeks, although we are working closely with the supplier to see if this can be reduced.
The costs associated with the inspection and replacement of the bollard will be recovered from the driver’s insurance company, rather than being met by rentcharge payers.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to restore the bollard system as quickly as possible. π
