β οΈ Residents may be aware that the outward bollard was struck by a vehicle on 23 September. Following the collision, engineers attended site on 29 September to inspect the system and, fortunately, no repairs were required.
Unfortunately, just two days after the bollard was returned to service, a taxi attempted to exit the Estate via the inward lane causing damage to the inward bollard. Engineers are scheduled to return on 19 October to assess the damage and advise whether any repairs are required. We will provide a further update once the inspection has taken place. π§
We are pleased to confirm that the full cost of the first collision has already been recovered, meaning the inspection was carried out at no cost to rentcharge payers.
We are in contact with the police regarding the second incident and are currently awaiting the driver’s insurance details so that the costs of the inspection and any necessary repairs can be recovered from those responsible.
Thank you for your patience while we work to keep the bollard system operational.
