🌳 More tree care around the Estate 🌳

Following on from our recent update about Treegators, the onsite Mitie team have also been busy topping up tree pits around the Estate with mulch.

Whenever works are carried out on the Estate, suitable green waste is chipped and reused as mulch. This is then added to tree pits where conditions allow. Not all pits are suitable, but it will be installed on as many as possible.

Mulching works alongside Treegators and our regular watering programme. It helps keep moisture in the soil, reduces weed growth, protects roots from temperature changes, and improves soil quality over time. These benefits are especially important for younger trees while they establish in their first few years.

This approach helps us care for the Estate’s trees in a practical and sustainable way, making the most of materials generated through ongoing maintenance.

Thank you to the onsite Mitie team for their continued work in supporting the newly planted trees 🌱
