As part of their contract with NPEL, the British Gas Heritage Team, who carry out the servicing and specialist repairs to our historic gas lighting network, are also responsible for painting approximately 20% of the Estate’s gas lamps each year.

You may already have spotted the team at work over the past few weeks, as they have completed painting all of the gas lamps on Clumber Crescents and Clumber Roads.

With the current spell of warm, dry weather providing ideal conditions, the team will continue this programme across the Estate over the coming weeks. These works help preserve the appearance and longevity of our historic gas lamps, ensuring they remain a distinctive feature of The Nottingham Park Estate for years to come.
