We’ve been informed that a text message scam is circulating, claiming that vehicles have been issued a ‘parking penalty notice’ from the local council and urging immediate payment. The message may also threaten further action, including a court order.  Please do not click on any links in these texts. NPEL or it’s contractor do not use text messages in relation to parking enforcement. If you suspect anything suspicious, forward it to 7726 (free of charge) to report it to your mobile provider.
