We are currently reviewing how we can improve the reliability of the gas lamps. As part of this, we’re changing the way the bi‑weekly wind‑ups are carried out.
This week, the wind‑ups may take a little longer than usual, so you may notice a few more lamps temporarily out while this new process is put in place.
Following a recent increase in issues linked to the clocks, the Mitie team and British Gas engineers met with the Horologist to identify ways to prevent the problems we’ve been experiencing. Further training for the on‑site team has also been arranged.
We’re confident that these changes — alongside the additional training — will help reduce the number of lamp outages going forward.
