As the nights start to draw in, the Mitie team will be carrying out regular early morning and evening checks to spot any faulty gas lamps around the Estate.

Common issues we find include:

• Pilot lights blown out by wind
• Insects blocking the jets
• Damaged mantles (the glowing part of the lamp)
