Following further investigation by Severn Trent Water they deemed it necessary to close the North Road entrance due to a collapsed sewer.  Due to the urgent nature of the closure NPEL were not given prior notice and could not approve the proposed diversion routes as we usually would.

I have contacted Severn Trent this morning and they have confirmed they will be removing the diversion along Barrack Lane in the next few hours and replacing with traffic lights so that the North Road entrance can be used. Apologies for the inconvenience caused by this error.

We are awaiting confirmation of the start date for the repair works but they are working towards having a team on-site next week.
